Christian Doedt

I am a German social scientist based at the Institute for Sustainable Energy Policies (ISEP) in Tokyo, Japan. My research centres on how the energy transition intersects with environmental stewardship and community involvement — specifically focusing on nature-positive renewable energy, agrivoltaics, and the social acceptance of renewable energy projects. 東京にある特定非営利活動法人 環境エネルギー政策研究所（ISEP）を拠点に活動しているドイツ人社会科学者です。私の研究は、エネルギー転換が環境保護や地域社会の参画とどのように交わるかに焦点を当てており、特に「ネイチャー・ポジティブ（自然共生型）」な再生可能エネルギー、営農型太陽光発電（ソーラーシェアリング）、そして再生可能エネルギーに対する社会的受容性を専門としています。

Through this platform, I share up-to-date research and global perspectives to bridge the gap between academics, policymakers, NGOs, and engaged citizens. German–Japanese Positioning ドイツと日本の視点

Based between two of the world's most industrially advanced nations, my work draws on a rare dual vantage point. 世界で最も産業が発展した2国を拠点とする私の活動は、希少な二視点（デュアル・バンテージ・ポイント）に基づいています。

While Germany is pushing forward with aggressive renewable energy targets, Japan's decarbonisation efforts currently lag behind. Yet, despite this asymmetry in ambition and their very different institutional frameworks, both nations face parallel, complex challenges around the community acceptance and ecosystem impacts of energy projects. ドイツが野心的な再生可能エネルギー目標を掲げて突き進む一方で、日本における脱炭素化の取り組みは、現状その後塵を拝しています。しかし、こうした意欲の非対称性や制度的枠組みの大きな違いがあるものの、エネルギー事業が地域社会に受け入れられるかという受容性の問題や、生態系への影響といった点において、両国は複雑かつ共通の課題に直面しています。

This comparative perspective shapes my research methodology and feeds directly into policy-relevant recommendations that travel across jurisdictions. このような比較の視点が私の研究手法を形作り、法域を越えて通用する政策提言へと直接つながっています。
